Should COGIC let Bishop Charles Mason go?
The Church of God in Christ organization was founded by Bishop Charles Mason in 1907, and he passed in 1964 according to research. While memories, lessons taught and loved cherished for any loved one will linger on, this organization goes beyond that. Elder Mason died over 50 years ago, and the remaining COGIC organization still celebrate his birthday. Whether it is a Christian thing to do or ritualistic to do is out of the question. No more years are acquired on this earth for him.The doors of necromantical spirits and cultism have likely emerged. While people are often aware of how old a deceased loved one would have been if they were still alive today is one thing, but COGIC takes it further for Elder Mason as they refuse to accept his transition. That is indicated in the candid COGIC celebration that he is 150 years old? This particular pentecostal church may have merged into cult practice which is not easily foreseen for those within. It may surface to be a cult practice. Ministers are seen covering their heads with a prayer shawl with the image of the Bishop Mason who is deceased. In Exodus 12:13 KJV And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt. The blood was a token that would cover over us, the lamb of God . That is whom our worship belongs. The people of LORD must not lose focus. A good thing is lessons, teaching, and literature will remain and could help someone in years to come, beyond the years of any man’s physical life that is it. Paul inspired Timothy, Jesus warned his disciples of the times to come after his own departure, and 2 Thessalonians 2:15 KJV says Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.” We are constantly reminded of the old testament examples within the new testament such as about Noah in Luke 17:26 KJV And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. It was a matter of leading people to Christ in the hard times, not man. Despite that, this images of the Bishop Mason is all over various COGIC church assemblies behind the pulpit chairs, you may find this image.
It is quite common. Some new converts if any are confused on whom to pray to with the idol worship manifesto. I will tell you about a young woman. She was raised in the C.o.g.i.c. church, and her father a pastor. She spoke something not out of defiance to her parents nor to her biblical foundation which she had acquired and continued to embrace, but the cult behavior in COGIC. She expressed that her parents felt as though God was only in the Church of God in Christ. Seven thousand who had not bowed to Baal was inducive to the COGIC. Today COGIC surely gives a hot seat to celebrities, the love of various ungodly lifestyles and the love of cash is pondered to great magnitudes. Certain things are not user-friendly. There is no precise stance on holiness from COGIC’s “head of state” Charles Blake. However; the sister’s testimony about her parents COGIC stance was a confirmation to something another person had shared with me named Christy. Christy COGIC testimony was somewhat similar to the other ladies story. Christy told me about how her pastor wanted to purchase the building which he had building been using to conduct church services. He collected special offerings from his members which he allegedly indicated was towards the purchase of the building. Members were shocked that they had to abruptly relocate because their pastor misused the funds. Christy began basically expressing that her grandmother was a mean church usher and that she would not fellowship with various racial-ethnicities and people who are of Non-COGIC affiliation. People should know that The Church of God, Church of God in Christ, Assemblies of God organizations etc or some glamourized affiliations are popular, but it is not a safe way ticket. Mankind is in need of salvation. One sister said she was in the choir, and partying and going to church went hand in hand. She attested she did not know you have to live the Bible because it was activity in the COGIC church which she had been raised in. While that is a shame, but it happens. It was a new experience and she was thankful to meet people who feared God. Wherever you are, you still to have to be saved and know Christ for yourself. It has to be real. With all the new age things going around the relationship has to coincide with what in the Book, The Bible. From there you will be able to determine if you are in the right place church wise etc.The statement is not said lightly. This is not about the COGIC alone, but many organizations have become so far off from the foundations to acquire a crowd of people and extra funds until it is no longer about the cross. It is really not hidden. To think we could to see people who do the blatant cult things, wearing catholic garments is something and knowing they see not as the Bible speaks about. Their eyes they have closed.
This is practice is way off as two left shoes.

Praise the Lord Ready Church: Thank you for sharing this article. We all have people in our life that were dear to us that are no longer here. But we are not to idolized any thing or anybody whether dead or alive. God said thy shalt have no other before me. Exodus 20:3 People do all sorts of things for someone when they have died. My own sister was out at her step mothers grave with some balloons.What since does that make the lady could not see the balloons and did not know she was there. People go to the grave yard and talk with the dead. Since my mother died I have not visited her grave because I did what I could for my mom when she was living. The mind is a terrible thing to waste. The bible tells us to keep our mind stayed on Jesus and he will keep us in perfect peace. ( Isaiah 26:3) God Bless you Ready Church. Sister Earlene Johnson

Again… I am grateful for the “Headline News” which is always lined up with the Word of God.
Ecc. 9:5 reads “For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.”
Surely these are the signs of the times.!!
While I am not often on Facebook, I have found a great influx of saints posting birthday announcements to dead loved ones. Clearly they either don’t know it is an ungodly practice, or feel justified in their actions. Either way, to know that it has been taken a step further, and see God’s house permeated with such ritualistic ungodliness, brings into question the entire COGIC organization.
In the Book of Revelation, John remarks that he heard a “…voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakes of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. ( Rev. 18:4)
In these ” perilous times”, more than ever, we must remember that there are only two types of people described in the Word of God, the Redeemed and the Unbeliever.
Lets continue to pray for mercy, and that the eyes of God’s people will be opened.
