The Ressurection of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ has nothing to do with the pagan holiday called Easter. Easter  festivity was only mentioned in Acts 12:4 kjv. It was not celebrated by Christians but the heathens. The Saints of God were praying. They were not participating in Easter/Eostre .They were not painting eggs and dressing the children in bunny rabbit costumes.  I remember one year when the church had an easter egg hunt. It left the neighborhood  smelling so badly because the parents hid for the children, but the children ended up not finding all of the eggs. To make matters worse, the parents could not  remember exactly where they put the eggs.  You could imagine the stench from the rotten eggs lasting for a duration of weeks. It took a while to find out where all the eggs were located. Easter is not a Christian celebration. In times past it may not been clear to you other people. They did not know any better, but you know the truth now.

Today some leaders are taking advantage of proposing enormous thousand dollar seed offerings and various gimmicks for the celebration, as  church attendance is usually higher.

Alive Church writes,

What to expect for Easter “Great worship music, an inspiring message, and fun, family-friendly outdoor activities to participate in, like photo booths and food trucks. The Easter Bunny will be available for pictures as he hands out chocolate bunnies to all of the kids attending our fun and exciting children’s church. “

12 Now about that time Herod the king stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church.

And he killed James the brother of John with the sword.

And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also. (Then were the days of unleavened bread.)

And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people.
