I have a story to help someone. It is about a lady named Debbie whom I had known for well over 10 years ago in church. I recall a testimony that she had given. She began testifying about being delivered from things in her life that she had experience. Namely, this young lady had a problem with her flesh and being promiscuous with men, and she expressed and thanked God that is was in the past old sinful nature before her new life in Christ. She Debbie says she always loved music and was going on the road to see the Gaither’s Singers, Soon after that, she started not showing up for services. 1 Peter 5:8 KJV Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour. Debbie’s life began to be tried by her words. Soon after the testimony of her deliverance, within a short span of months, she met a man named Michael at the bus stop, and given a ride home.  James 1:14 KJV But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. 1 Peter 5:9 KJV Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. Romans 8:7 KJV Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
Before long, after service Debbie told different respective brothers and sisters that she would no longer be able to make it to Wednesday night Bible study, neither other services during the week apart from the weekend. Between working, she assured concerned ones that she had her Bible, as she held it up. Wednesday is my day off to take care of some things and rest, said Debbie. She began coming to her home church at the end of service (late), meanwhile adhering to attend and find enjoyment in her friend’s morning church service.
Debbie told her church family that she was helping a friend whom she had met who had hit rock bottom. Michael was not the chief of princes, archangel. Later she revealed of her acquaintance Michael was Catholic, and that she tries to get him to come with her to church, but he won’t come. See either you will pull them or become pulled. Ephesians 4:14KJV That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive. Michael said he was not coming and was stern Catholic. Debbie was raised in the Christian faith growing up. Years had gone by, and I saw her occasionally and was able to pray for and assured her that she is off the path and that what she is involvement is not a game.
Somehow I remember having a heartful, transparent conversation with her when I saw her again, randomly and I had a blog to go on and cover. She began telling me that she always wanted to go inside a catholic church and asked her mother, but as a child her mother said “Debbie, no you are not going in there. We are protestant Christian, not catholic. You are not stepping foot in there. ”
Debbie stated that her thoughts towards her mother were ” oh yeah? I said to myself we’ll see about that.” Debbie set on a quest to go inside a catholic church since her mother had passed. As Debbie was overwhelming into her thoughts, to be sure I was hearing correctly. I said, so rebellion, and she was so captivated in talking and said “yes “. Now the Bible says 1 Samuel 15 KJV talks about rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft. Debbie began saying, I am just visiting for a while. I did not join. I am not catholic. I sing in the choir without being a member there. I am coming back to our church, but I just don’t know when and tell everybody she said hello.  She proceeded to say honest to God I don’t know when.
My sister came walked over and spoke the prophetic, and said Debbie, you are not coming back. Every time she would say the same thing. “I am coming back, honest to God I just don’t know when.” Those were her exact words. Around May 2013, Debbie passed out inside the Catholic church during mass. Sometime after she regained consciousness, she called for prayer as she proceeded surgery for a heart condition, and recovered. She was back to herself mobile. We ended up seeing Debbie on walks and sparingly, and the last time was seen with her hair was spiked up like a rocker, rockstar. There were physical changes things taking place. If I could paint a picture, she looked a little like singer Betty Jean, was simple and modest and wore her hair down,non-dramatic. There are often things that come like in brothers and sisters. There was a change and it was able to be heard and when your conversation becomes about everything else. I believe that is the way the enemy often comes in that way. For in the later times 1 Timothy 4:1KJV mentions people depart from the faith, Galatians 3KJV speaks about WHO has bewitched you. So many times a person can come and spirits can come and try to enter the lives of people or seeking to be and turn them away from truth. 1 John 2:19 KJV. At some point when you truly desire the things of God, there is often a love for his Word and to be in the fellowship of the Saints, in physical location together if availed or either online to be strengthened and sharpened.
Last week, Debbie thought she had come down with sinus infection, which was instead a brain hemorrhage, and a lymphoma spread in her liver leading to a shut-down of organs. Debbie passed. Her sister called and left a message, stating what happened with no remorse to be heard of sorrow and said we just let her go, and we are going to cremate (burn) her, send her ashes back home and have a graveside, if you have questions call me back.
Though Debbie was a nice and jolly person, and there are many people out there like that, but that is good enough in God’s requirements biblically for our lives by Christ Jesus, when knowing his word. Others like Debbie knew the way, had been taught well, yet they will walked away to consume strange fire, to sadly recapitulate statements in matter of faith, I will be back but I just don’t know when. I am saying that so show it is important it is with your relationship with Christ is never to severed, never blocked barricade in the enemies tactics. The fulfillment of other things, carnal and worldly things has come to divide people heart from God. The Bible says, Having eyes, see ye not? and having ears, hear ye not?.
While this story carried a physical meaning, there is faith message. That is optimal importance. That is sadly inevitability done not only in that case  when enticement of flesh and  the attention becomes gathered elsewhere, and referring  mildly not say you do not want to be around the  saints. which is alright in manner of choice alone but it is not very Christian, but unseemingly not wanting  Christ is ungodly and destructive,  and rather to dwell in other things in life and paths such as Catholicism, Buddhism etc. That is dangerous. Revelation 2:4 KJV unto the church of Ephesus talks about leaving thy first love which is Christ. He is not usually thrilled about being a rebound, or the plan if things do not work out. He is to be held dear to our hearts. When returning back to truth turns into days into months, and months into years, then years turns into decades and that becomes never. When going too far, staying too long and coming back too late bears those undesirable consequences. Everything is a choice.
