A gender party is it biblical? No. It is a new age ritual. Should Christian be quick to jump aboard to every new practice? No. We follow Christ.  Throughout most of history parents used to find out what they were having after the child is birthed. We see in scripture of Matthew 1 KJV, wherein God sent a message through his angel that Mary would bring for a son that he shall be called Jesus and would be conceived of the Holy Ghost.  It was absolute.

There was no gender reveal party game.  For pregnant women it is time to pray for yourself and the health of child that is inside you as well. You have not made it through the birthing delivery. It is serious, and it is life and death situation, no matter how common it is for people to get pregnant. There are a lot of pregnant people.  You have to trust in God for strength. Again, it is a life and death situation.  There is no need to worry about what is it or who is it and gathering for a gender reveal party for it, when God has even brought you to that phase yet . While nobody wants a miscarriage, it does happens and so many different things as well.  We want to have the correct focus. We want the Lord’s will for our lives. Just a few weeks ago a woman carried a baby full term, and the doctor ripped up the baby during delivery. That was devastating for her. I do not wish anything like that. Prayer is needed, and not a gender reveal party. We have to get our focus on track.

There was a time wherein it was God’s business until the baby came. After the baby comes, then it becomes your business. According NY Time 50 percent of parents choose to find out the sex of their baby beforehand.  Despite technological advancement, if God wanted man to know the gender beforehand, he would have likely made our skin transparent. It is covered, and we must be covered around prayer. Someone said they actually mentioned for a gender reveal party,  would you play God? The Bible says in Isaiah 43:10 KJV  Before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.

NY Time– Until recently a little-known practice, the concept is quickly becoming a pre-parenting custom, a dress rehearsal of sorts — or sometimes a replacement — for the baby shower. In a culture where many expectant parents feel obligated to tweet their pregnancy announcement, live-post their ride to the hospital via Instagram, and Skype the baby’s first smile, it’s the latest example of one of parenthood’s formerly private moments becoming a matter of public consumption. For most of human history, parents discovered their child’s sex at birth, a moment rarely lacking in tension or drama. Imagine buying gifts for boy, and it was girl. It has happened before.

What is going today in the world with a lost focus?

Luke 12:17 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.19 And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.
